I’ve been a content creator for as long as I can remember. From writing short stories as a child, to creating beautifully designed and craftily written travel brochures in my first job, the output of my day to day has always been the creation of content. For the past 6 years I have managed and run social media accounts, social media clients and social media teams. While it’s taught me a huge amount about the kind of content that people like to consume, I feel it’s past time now that I manage my own brand, social media presence, and life in general.

I’m Lauren and I’ve quit the advertising 9 – 5 (or 7am – 7pm more often) to eat and teach my way around the world. The real adventure begins on the 7th of January 2018 when I begin my TEFL Internship orientation week in Hanoi, Vietnam, but the prep work is happening right now. I thought it might be helpful to document the process from before I go, in terms of visas, flights, deals, packages etc to try and help anyone else who decides that this might be something that they want to do.

Once I get everything sorted, and head off on my adventure, this blog will turn to documenting my experiences once I get there. The hope is that this becomes more than just a personal journal of travel to remind myself of the names of the places I’ve been, when I’m 75 and have seen the entire world, but that I can help others discover something new or different for themselves, that they may not have thought of doing before reading about it here.

I would love to work with anyone who’s interested in creating amazing content that actually adds some value to people’s lives. I look forward to hearing from you!
